Upgrading to Pro - what you get
A straight comparison of Keepr Free and Keepr Pro, so you can decide if £9 a month is worth it for you.
Keepr Pro costs £9 a month or £84 a year (a 22% saving versus monthly). Everything you do today on Free keeps working - Pro adds automation on top: recurring invoices, automated reminders, receipt scanning, custom branding, deeper reports, and a lower Stripe fee on card payments.

What each Pro feature actually does
Recurring invoices
Set up an invoice once with a schedule (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) and Keepr generates and sends it automatically each cycle. Useful if you bill the same clients on retainer or have a subscription product.
Automated invoice reminders
On Free, you nudge an unpaid client with the Resend button on each invoice. On Pro, you set the rules once under Settings → Invoices (for example, a reminder 3 days before due, on the due date, and 7 days after) and Keepr emails the client for you. Reminders stop automatically once the invoice is paid.
Receipt scanning
Snap a photo of a receipt and Keepr reads the merchant, date, and amount and pre-fills a new expense. On Free you'd type those fields in by hand.
Recurring expenses
Same idea as recurring invoices, but for the regular costs of running your business - software subscriptions, monthly hosting bills, rent. Set it up once and Keepr logs the expense each cycle.
Profitability & insights reports
The Project Profitability report (compares the agreed estimate for a project against the hours you actually spent) and other deeper insights are Pro-only. Standard reports like Profit & Loss, tax summary, and revenue by client stay free.
Custom branding
Your invoice PDF and the email Keepr sends your client carry your logo and accent colour. The Keepr branding in the email footer is removed. On Free, the email and PDF use a generic Keepr template.
Lower Stripe fee
When a client pays an invoice by card, Stripe takes 1.5% + 20p and Keepr adds an application fee on top. That extra fee is 1% on Free and 0% on Pro. So a £1,000 card payment costs you £25.20 on Free (Stripe £15.20 + Keepr £10.00) versus £15.20 on Pro (just the £15.20 Stripe fee).
The 14-day Pro trial
Every new Keepr signup gets 14 days of full Pro access, no card required. When the 14 days are up, you drop to the Free plan automatically unless you subscribe - nothing breaks, you just lose the Pro-only features.
How to upgrade
- Go to Billing, or open the Pricing page, and click Upgrade to Pro.
- On the checkout page, choose Monthly (£9) or Annual (£84).
- Enter your card details. Card processing is handled by Stripe - your card number never touches Keepr's server.
- Click Subscribe. You'll be returned to the billing page with Pro Plan Active shown.
Cancelling or downgrading
You can cancel at any time. There's no contract and no cancellation fee.
- Open Billing and click Downgrade to Free.
- Optionally leave a note about why you're leaving (this helps us improve Keepr - it doesn't affect anything else).
- Click Cancel Subscription.
Your Pro access continues to the end of the current billing period - you don't lose features the moment you cancel. After that date, your account moves to Free.
What happens to your data?
Nothing is deleted. Every invoice, client, expense, project, and time entry stays exactly as it is. Only the Pro-only features stop working:
| Feature | What happens at downgrade |
|---|---|
| Recurring invoices | Stop generating new invoices. Existing invoices are unchanged. |
| Recurring expenses | Stop generating new entries. Existing expenses are unchanged. |
| Automated invoice reminders | Stop sending. You can still resend manually. |
| Custom branding | Your invoice emails revert to the generic Keepr template. |
| Stripe fee | Goes back to 1% on card payments. |
Change your mind? Click Resubscribe to Pro on the billing page. Everything turns back on immediately, with no setup to redo.
Refunds
Keepr Pro is billed in advance. Cancelling stops the next renewal - you keep Pro access until the period you've already paid for ends. We don't offer mid-period refunds as a self-serve option, but if something has gone wrong, email support and we'll sort it.
